What our parents said about Kindy in the Park
We simply asked our parents from 2024 the following question - “Would you like to make a comment on our services in relation to your child's learning and development?”

The educators at Kindy in the Park provide a warm, nurturing and child-centred learning space. Both of our children have attended Kindy in the Park, and we believe it is the right of each child to play, to be met at their point of development and to be allowed the space to explore their interests and curiosities at their own pace. Kindy in the Park excels in this area! Children and families are welcome to share important events, small /big wonders and conversations and inquiries follow. We are so grateful for the incredible experience both of our children have had. Emily and Kathy cared for our children as if they were their own family. Kindy in the Park captures and celebrates the magic of childhood so beautifully.

We found Kindy in the Park just in time for our second daughter to start her pre-kindy program in 2022. Our daughter instantly fell in love with the centre and felt safe, welcome and loved since the moment she arrived. Our daughter was free to express her individuality, and the gentle programs sparked her curiosity and have fostered a love of learning which she has now carried through to primary school.
Last year we sent our youngest through Kindy in the Park. And, like her sister, confidently attended and had the most wonderful, gentle year with a gorgeous bunch of kids. Each day she was there, she delighted in the activities whether they be gardening (especially digging up potatoes!), cooking (and eating!), crafts, roll play, building cubby houses and everything in between. Sincerest thanks to Emily, Kathy, Helen, Clarise and all the other carers who have crossed paths with our children during their time at Kindy in the Park. We are forever thankful that Kindy in the Park was our girls’ first ‘school’ experience and are sad to say goodbye.

Just wanted to provide feedback that Kindy in the Park is our son’s absolute favourite place to be! He is always so excited to go and asks every morning if it's a "pre-kindy" day. You and all the other staff are so very warm and welcoming. I think he picks up on the calmness and warmth from of the all the staff and that's why he feels so safe there and drop offs are such a breeze. Thankyou for all the support you've been giving him to improve his independence, including toileting. He really is progressing and tells me proudly how he uses the toilet and washes his hands like he's been taught at pre-kindy. He is also so very proud of the art he does and often sings his pre-kindy songs at home. The other day of his own volition he taught the whole family the Care for Country song, including the actions that he was adamant we do correctly. His take on the lyrics was "Care for Country, Love our Lambs". I've noticed his language and vocabulary has improved a lot since term 1 began! We feel so lucky to have found this community kindy for our son as he was no longer enjoying daycare, and we felt he was losing some of his self-confidence and enthusiasm for learning in that environment. We've certainly seen that return now! Thank you all immensely. We are so very happy with Kindy in the Park.

All you want for your kids is for them to have a happy and safe environment to foster their learning and education. Our son has received this and more from Kindy in the Park. Mrs Helen and Mrs Kathy (and all the staff) have loved our son as if he was their own and this has encouraged him to flourish in so many ways. We are forever grateful for all that they do.

Kindy in the Park is the most beautiful, nurturing centre. All the teachers put in so much effort to provide a huge range of educational activities for the children. There is always a focus on learning, but it’s all done through play and fun, which is so important for kids this age. We feel so lucky to have been able to send two of our children here.

We’re really happy with the services and care provided to our daughter. The KIP team always prioritise the needs of the child first, which I have witnessed not just with our daughter but with the differing needs of all the kids during pick up and drop off. They provide a warm and welcoming environment which has allowed her to grow in confidence and gives us a sense of relief knowing she is in good hands. The support for our daughter’s learning and development has been fantastic, and we've noticed great progress since commencing. Instead of trying to fit her into a strict curriculum/program, they meet her where she is in terms of development, which has allowed her to thrive and build confidence as she learns. We have enjoyed watching her grow socially, emotionally and physically with thanks to carefully selected activities which are child-lead and spark curiosity. We are happy that she is being provided with the best opportunity to develop a love of learning in a pressure free and caring environment. The team are always so welcoming and attentive, and it's clear that they have a genuine passion for helping the children grow and thrive.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback on our daughter’s experience at KITP. We have found KITP to be a supportive, safe and engaging learning environment for our daughter. We are extremely grateful for the experience that it provides her and the confidence it helps her to build with respect to her learning. We have also found that she was easily able to transition into Kindy this year based on the experience she has had at KITP. The warm and supportive learning environment is unique and we are grateful that she is able to experience it. The educators go above and beyond in their care for the children.

Kindy in the park was the perfect introduction to education for our daughter aged 3 and a half. With. informed and supportive staff she was able to thrive socially, emotionally and come away with academic skills beyond our expectation. It was so heartwarming for us as parents that our daughter was given space to learn in such a loving and nurturing environment.

He is flourishing at Kindy in the Park. Every week, we are seeing our son grow through play and the nurturing environment KITP offers. The Willy wag tail nest was a weekly discussion point and the activities around Christmas time provided for endless discussion at home.

Our daughter had the best time at Kindy in the Park last year. I think the environment was so peaceful that she settled so well from day considering she never went to daycare. The amenities and activities for the kids are so well presented, the enthusiasm of the educators made such a huge difference, she learnt a lot, she still asks me for her Kindy in the Park teachers.

The very experienced staff at KITP and the wide variety of activities on offer each day ensured our child was happy, engaged and learning every day she attended. The unique small scale and flexible in/outdoors environment was also extremely beneficial for our child. We’d be happy to recommend KITP to any other parents.

As a family from overseas, finding a warm and welcoming environment for my child was incredibly important. From the moment we joined Kindy in the Park, it felt like a family space—small, nurturing, and filled with educators who truly understood the importance of attachment and connection. Their gentle and supportive approach helped my child feel safe and secure, which is something I deeply valued. The setting itself is beautiful, surrounded by nature and thoughtfully designed with natural play materials. The child-led focus allows for both independent exploration and small group interactions, creating a perfect balance of freedom and guidance. Many people work with children, but not everyone helps them thrive—and the team at Kindy in the Park are real gems. Their passion and care make a genuine difference, and I’m so grateful for the experience my child had there. Thank you again for creating such a special place for children to learn and grow.

I feel very lucky to have been part of the Kindy in the Park community. It's a very special place where children are safe and cared for. I loved that my daughter was able to build a bond with her teachers who genuinely enjoyed playing with children and watching them learn. We really did love our time at Kindy in the Park.

I highly recommend Kindy in the Park to all those looking for an early learning centre. The teachers have created such a nurturing environment, where children can freely explore their creativity. We also found our child developed stronger social skills to make for a smoother transition into kindergarten this year.

We’re so grateful to you and the staff at Kindy in the Park for providing such a wonderful space and service for our 3yo. The kindy is so unique, and we value so many aspects of the service, including the nurturing and caring teaching staff, the safe and stimulating outdoor and indoor environment, the social exposure to kids of the same age, and the varied educational opportunities provided to all of the kids. Two of my daughters have been lucky enough to attend Kindy in the Park. The team are professional but warm and I feel they care for my kids as if they are their own. The relationship they developed with each child is rich and authentic. And the support the girls and I have felt from the team during parenting and life’s ups and downs goes above and beyond. It’s clear they are not only educating and caring for our children in a very child led way but building a community. Our daughter has extra needs and while they always found a way to accommodate my requests did so with adequate risk assessment and consideration. I always find the centre clean and well maintained. Messages and emails are responded to promptly. I can’t think of anything to suggest for improvement and want to thank them for the care they have provided.

Both my girls have found Kindy in the Park to be a warm and inviting environment. After attending Kindy in the Park, our daughter showed greater confidence and independence starting four-year-old kindy at the local school. She was able to write her name, engage with activities on the mat, care for her belongings and she was familiar with the kindy routine. It's a place they look forward to going, rather than the chore of attending daycare.
